TB-500 corresponds to the short Ac-LKKTETQ region associated with residues 17–23 of thymosin beta-4, whereas full-length human thymosin beta-4 contains 43 amino-acid residues. Research involving the complete protein should therefore not automatically be attributed to the TB-500 fragment.
